Stamp Out Hunger

May 12th was the NALC/USPS "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. It was the 15th annual food drive. Last year I was the NALC/USPS coordinator and worked in concert with the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina. We raised over 330,000 pounds of food in the 2006 food drive.
I'm not sure how well we'll do this year, but based on what I was bringing back from my route, it looks like we will fall short of the amount we collected last year. Hopefully some folks just forgot and will leave something in the mail box on Monday.
